There is so much symbolism in a rock, a stone~~
Strength~you have been my strength so many times. You have given me strength on so many days.
Endurance~a symbol of the love that we have built and are yet to build for eternity.
Foundation~ you are the foundation of our marriage. You have given me the foundation and understanding of what marriage is.
Beauty~from the plain to the sublime ~rocks come in all forms--and with the Amethyst as reminder we must never judge only the exterior but seek to know the majestic, and beautiful within the heart.
I think a rock like the Amethyst is a perfect reminder and symbol of a marriage . It is strong and solid, and can look plain and everyday at times but inside~in the heart there is majesty and brilliance and beauty and promise.
